2003-2009  Partner, Boston Realty Hub
Created branding, designed websites, created marketing presentations, designed flash-demos, and wrote all communications for web 2.0 software/services start-up.

1999-2010 Freelance Writer
Wrote ‘business digest’ and insurance newsletters for Dartnell’s Cambridge Associates. Wrote and developed testing and training materials for Aquent, creative services agency. Developed tests for multimedia and web authoring tools including Adobe Photoshop and Quark Express. Wrote a web-development column for an ISP newsletter. Sold two dozen short stories to short fiction markets.

2002-2003 Partner, Eyehanddesign
Content creator (copy and graphics) for small interactive consultancy. Clients included Verizon and a variety of small and mid-sized businesses and non-profit organizations.

1999-2001 Creative Lead, Customer Experience Group, Broadvision
As a hands-on consultant designing the GUI for the worlds largest B-to-B exchange at General Electric, and then as a W2 employee, lead efforts to build interactive agency capability at internet infrastructure software vendor. Subsequently managed effort to create a consistent UI for a suite of e-business applications, project managing the creation of a UI framework which merged the functionality of entire product suite.

1994-1999 Freelance Multimedia Contractor (concurrent with job titles below)
Created screen-based design, illustration and animation content for a variety of corporate clients through agencies and as an independent consultant. Creative agency clients include Digitas (formerly SIG at BSH), IDEO product development, Interactive Solutions (an early incarnation of Agency.com) Lehmen Millet Incorporated, Fitch, and others. End user corporate clients include General Electric, Fidelity Investments, DEC, Smithkline Beecham, BMC, Boston Technology, Boston University, Monsterboard, Aquent and others.

1998-1999 Partner, Nitro Communications
Worked closely with Creative Director Will Reed in the the design of numerous web sites and corporate ID campaigns for New Media Start-up. Created visual branding and key concepts for ad campaign for Massachusetts Community Network. Created visual branding for CornerLot, an internet real estate start up. Designed the website of the Office of the Massachusetts Attorney General. Designed GUIs for a variety of web-based applications.

1996-1998 Partner, Urban Interactive Media
Founded Urban Interactive Media with Partner Tim Driscoll, creating graphic content for new media start-up. Authored CD-ROMs in Macromedia Director, designed GUIs; scripting Lingo, designed speaker-support presentations and CD-ROMs. Creating animated corporate ID splashes for the web, video, and CD ROM. Project Managed the creation of a small e-commerce site for specialty publisher Spacemaker Press, designing and managing the scripting process for secure e-commerce site.

1994-1996 Partner, 62 Knots
Worked with partner George Katchadorian creating content for New Media Partnership specializing in speaker support presentations created in Macromedia Director. Created content for The Monsterboard’s marketing web presentations. Created CD-ROM presentation for Boston Technology, demonstrating the audio capabilities of the web. Created illustrative and design content for a variety of clients, including John Hancock and SmithKline Beacham.

1991-1994 Director of Imaging Services Laser Designs
Operated a variety of high resolution output devices for graphic arts service bureau. Installed and maintained library of DTP, word processing, and postscript drawing software. Troubleshot postscript errors and provided technical support.

1989-1991 Designer Dartnell’s Cambridge Associates
Produced a dozen monthly newsletters for marketing services company. Converted operation from off-site typesetting, purchasing, configuring, installing and maintaining all software and hardware for small LAN.

Fall 1987 Bachelors of Fine Arts Syracuse University
Graduated Syracuse University BFA in Selected Studies. Areas of study in degree program included Graphic Design/Illustration, Psychology, Creative Writing, Computer Graphics and Photography.
